Total Business Solutions Limited (TBSL) will join thousands of organizations globally to celebrate World GIS Day on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024. We look forward to hosting you at the Belize GeoEducation Expo.
This interactive and educational expo will provide a space for engaging and inspiring a new generation of educators and students to learn and explore how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) plays an important role in advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education and careers
Globally, GIS Day is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Jack Dangermond, the founder and president of Esri, with the vision of encouraging people established this day to collaborate and share their insights about the impact of GIS on everyone. Since then, the propagation of geospatial technology has broadened this concept into a worldwide event that demonstrates how geography and the practical applications of GIS are creating a significant impact on business, government, and society. It allows organizations to showcase their achievements and inspire others to explore and utilize GIS.
In Belize, TBSL dedicates this day to bringing together educators, students and the Belize GIS community, to see how exhibitors use GIS to achieve their organizations' goals and contribute to Belize's national development.
GIS Day is an opportunity for GIS professionals and organizations to highlight their work and share the amazing things they are doing via fun, educational grassroots events.
GIS touches everyone's life daily, yet many people are still unaware of its power and pervasiveness. Invite others to see how you're using GIS to understand the world and make better decisions.
Every map has a story to tell and the potential to make a difference. Show off your impactful maps and demonstrate to your audience how they can use GIS to tell their own stories.
GIS Day is a day dedicated to showing, teaching, and inspiring others. Spread enthusiasm and help people learn how to use GIS for themselves—in their work, in their schools, where they volunteer, or even for their hobbies and interests.
